Mazar Shaheed Sardar Ali Kotwali Everyone is aware of the Kotwali located in Nakhas. It used to be the mansion of Muazzam Ali Khan. The tombs of freedom fighter Shaheed Sardar Ali Khan, his brother Ramzan Ali Khan and their family members are here. Shaheed Sardar Ali Khan son of Muazzam Ali Khan was the Risaldar i.e. military commander of Awadh Court and a big landlord. When the flames of freedom struggle flared up in 1857, Gorakhpur also said Labbaik. Sardar Ali Khan fought the war under the leadership of Mohammad Hasan and Shrinet kings. Shaheed Sardar Ali Khan, his brother Ramzan Ali Khan and family members were hanged. The mansion was converted into a Kotwali. There are many tombs near the tomb here which belong to his family members and other martyrs. Devotees definitely come here and offer their tribute.
