Mozamjahi market

The Mozamjahi or Moazzam Jahi Market was originally a fruit and ammunition market named after Prince Moazzam Jah, the son of Nizam Osman Ali Khan. The clock tower is built in exposed granite in the Osmanian/Indo- Saracenic style. Its construction was finished in 1935 and the clock tower is the tallest structure of the market. It is two-storeyed and octagonal in shape, with clocks on alternating faces of the octagon. The dome sits on an ornate platform on a chajja supported by stone brackets.
