The Dargah of Hazrat Maulana Ziauddin Sahab R.A. in Dhundhara (Amer), near Jaipur, is a testament to profound faith and mystical charisma that bridges cultures and beliefs. This shrine narrates the journey of a saint whose arrival was foretold and whose presence left an indelible mark on Jaipur, influencing even the royal court. A Saint’s Journey from Delhi to Dhundhara Hazrat Maulana Ziauddin Sahab R.A. initially lived in the Arab Sarai area of Delhi until one day, his spiritual mentor told him, "I hear your voice from Dhundhara (Amer). From now on, you are the Shah-e-Wilayat of Dhundhara." In obedience to his master’s divine command, Hazrat Ziauddin set out for Dhundhara. Along the way, he arrived at Kukas, near Jaipur, where Baba Amani Shah, a revered saint, recognized his arrival as that of the true spiritual heir. In reverence, Baba Amani Shah left for the wilderness—what is now known as Shastri Nagar-Nahari Naka, where his dargah stands today. The King’s Encounter with a Saint Guarded by ‘Tigers’ Upon reaching Jaipur, Hazrat Maulana Ziauddin Sahab R.A. abided under a tree, living humbly in a tent. However, during those times, outsiders required permission from King Pratap Singh to settle within the city. When the king’s soldiers were sent to summon him, they were bewildered to find the saint surrounded by cats that appeared as tigers in their eyes. Frightened, they returned to the king, reporting the presence of an extraordinary dervish guarded by wild beasts. Curious, King Pratap Singh visited Hazrat Maulana Ziauddin the next morning during his routine journey to the Govind Ji Temple. One glimpse of the saint's divine presence turned the king into his ardent follower, marking the beginning of a deep spiritual connection between the two. The Dargah of Hazrat Maulana Ziauddin Sahab R.A. is not just a place of pilgrimage—it is a sanctuary where mystical tales and divine miracles continue to inspire visitors. The dargah invites people from all walks of life, fostering a space where faith transcends religious boundaries. Whether you seek spiritual guidance, inner peace, or simply wish to immerse yourself in the serene atmosphere, this dargah offers a unique connection to the divine.
