Built by the forces of Alauddin Khilji after they conquered the fort of Daulatabad, this is a 700 year old jama masjid that is built using local elements and Islamic style blended together in a beautiful complex, but after the invasion of Hyderabad state, local hindus illegally desecrated this mosque by placing an idol of Bharatmata in it and the ASI hasnt removed this illegal addition,as it apparently represents unity and secularism of India
