The gateway, constructed during the Mughal period, is a fine example of Indo-Persian architectural style, reflecting the design aesthetics and construction techniques of that era. Built as a single-storey structure on a rectangular plan, the gateway features a two-bay arched entrance that leads to an open courtyard. Its facade is adorned with several niches surrounding the pointed arch, adding a decorative charm to the structure. The materials used in the construction highlight the skilled craftsmanship and resourcefulness of the period. The basement of the gateway is made of durable Delhi Quartzite, providing a solid foundation. The facade is constructed with Lakhori bricks, a hallmark of Mughal architecture, and finished with lime plaster for a smooth and elegant appearance. The arches are crafted from red sandstone, further enhancing the gateway’s visual appeal. Above the lintel level, the walls are composed of Lakhori bricks and lime plaster, ensuring both strength and aesthetic continuity. This gateway remains a significant architectural relic, embodying the historical and cultural heritage of the Mughal period.
