The gateway to the Dargah of Qutub Sahib, constructed by Maulana Fakhruddin, is a significant architectural and spiritual landmark associated with the Sufi order. This sacred site serves as both a mausoleum and a hospice, emphasizing its religious and cultural importance. Designed in the Indo-Persian architectural style, the gateway features engrailed arched openings on all four sides, with a northern entrance accessed by a staircase comprising seven steps. The façade's beauty is enhanced by a foliated arch and brackets supporting the eaves, creating an aesthetically pleasing structure. However, the western arch has been recently modified with wooden paneling, reflecting contemporary alterations to the historical design. The structure's exterior is constructed entirely of red sandstone, while the floor is adorned with marble, combining durability with elegance. This gateway not only represents architectural grandeur but also holds deep historical and spiritual significance.
