The Grandson of Baba Fareed (Pakpattan) and Descend of Ameer-Ul-Mu'mineen Hazrat Umar Farooq Aazam. His father was Hazrat Shaikh Naseeruddin Masood, the son of the renowned Sufi, Hazrat Shaikh Fareed-ud-deen Mas'ood Ganje-shakar Chishti of Pakpattan, Pakistan. Hazrat Shaikh Alauddin Nur Taj was born in Pakpattan in 1467AD during the rule of Sultan Bahlol Lodi (1451-89AD) but later on migrated to Delhi. Hazrat Shaikh Alauddin reached Delhi and met contemporary Sufi, Hazrat Shaikh Yusuf Qattal. They both become firm friends. After Shaikh Yusuf Qattal in 1527AD, Hazrat Shaikh Alauddin Nur Taj constructed the mausoleum for his best friend. Hazrat Shaikh Alauddin Nur Taj died in the year 1541AD during the reign of Sher Shah Suri (1540-45AD). He was buried very close to his friend "Hazrat Shaikh Yusuf Qattal" (1km). Presently his shrine is located in Savitri Nagar of Sheikh Sarai Phase-1, surrounded in between urban buildings. The shrine is permanently closed for many years.
