Hazrat Shaikh Jalaluddin Chishti was known as "Makhdoom Jahania." He was born in 1307AD. He was well known reputed Sufi of his time. He learned Sufi teachings and mysticism from many Sufi saints of his era, such as Hazrat Shaikh Rukhnuddin Abul Fateh Qureshi, Hazrat Shaikh Abdullah Yafyi, and Hazrat Khwaja Naseeruddin Mehmood Roshan E Chiragh Delhi. Hazrat Shaikh Jalaluddin Chishti went to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, and met his other master Hazrat Shaikh Abdullah Yafyi. One day Hazrat Shaikh Abdullah Yafyi said, "Many big Sufi saints are no more in Delhi, except Hazrat Khwaja Naseeruddin Mehmood Roshan E Chiragh Dehli. Listening to this thing, Hazrat Shaikh Jalaluddin Chishti got eager to meet Hazrat Shaikh Chiragh Dehli and went to Delhi and met him. That's how Hazrat Shaikh Chiragh Dehli made him his disciple. Hazrat Shaikh Jalaluddin Chishti had a very close friendship with Sultan Firozshah Tughlaq (1351-88AD). In 1383AD, Sultan Firozshah Tughlaq constructed his tomb.
