Ibrahim bagh ki masjid

Ibrahim bagh ki masjid

Built during the reign of Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah, this mosque is situated on a hill 2 km west of Golconda fort, this mosque would have been the Jama Masjid of the city of Ibrahim Bagh but plan for the city was abandoned due to lack of a proper water source. Interestingly this mosque has no minarets, its built using pink granite and looks like miniature version of the Mecca Masjid which was completed more than a century after this mosque. This place provides a spectacular view of the Musi valley and the modern Hitec city.
