The Lado Sarai tomb is a lesser-known, non-descriptive structure located within a Delhi Development Authority (DDA) park, at the intersection of Mehrauli-Mahipalpur and Mehrauli-Badarpur Roads in South Delhi's Lado Sarai region. This tomb is one of many historical monuments scattered across Delhi, especially in the Mehrauli area, known for its rich concentration of heritage sites from various eras. The tomb's architectural features suggest that it dates back to the Lodi dynasty, although its original occupant remains unidentified. No inscriptions or epitaphs have been found inside to reveal its historical details. Over time, this small yet elegant structure has faced extensive encroachment and has been used for a variety of purposes, including as a storeroom and a cycle repair shop. In 2002, the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH), in collaboration with DDA, initiated a project to restore this tomb, preserving its unique architectural elements, particularly its stucco work. The restoration aimed to safeguard this piece of Lodi-period architecture amidst rapid urban development and ensure its heritage value is recognized and preserved
