Qutubuddin Bakhtiyar Kaki was the first Sufi saint of Delhi. Descending the Prophet Muhammad (through Hussain ibn Ali), he received the Sufi Cloak from Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti. He was the disciple and the spiritual successor of Moinuddin Chishti and the head of the Chishti order. He is established and popularize Chishti Order in Delhi. His dargah is adjacent to Zafar Mahal in Mehrauli. He was called Kaki due to a miracle attributed to him in Delhi. He asked his wife not to take credit from the local baker despite their extreme poverty. Instead, he told her to pick up Kak (a kind of bread) from a corner of their house whenever needed. The Kak miraculously appeared in that corner. From that day, the people started referring to him as Kaki
